How To Apply
The New York State (NYS) Program’s first Open Application Period (OAP) begins on April 1, 2019. The first OAP is open to all chains across NYS. A chain is defined as a group of 10 or more stores operating under the same Federal Identification Number (FEIN). All chain stores in Vendor Contract Period (VCP) 1 have the same current contract end date of September 30, 2019.
If you meet the Chain Store definition of 10 or more stores operating under the same FEIN and are interested in applying as a Chain Store for the first time, please submit the New York State New Chain Ownership form. Once you have completed the New Chain Ownership form, an email will be sent with the vendor application link. You must complete the New Chain Ownership form and an application for all stores you wish to apply for by May 31, 2019.
If your corporation currently has 10 or more NYS authorized WIC stores operating under the same FEIN, you are a part of the first OAP. Currently authorized chain stores may add additional store(s) that are currently not on the Program by submitting the New York State Existing Chain New Vendor Application All applications are due by May 31, 2019.

Requests for an Application outside the Open Application Period will be reviewed and considered in areas where there is inadequate participant access as defined by NYS. Please review the ZIP Code List to determine if inadequate participant access exists in your store’s area. Information on Open Application Periods will be posted to this website when they become available.
